Kansas City Chapter

The Kansas City Chapter of American Pilgrims serves the metropolitan Kansas City area, including Western Missouri and Eastern Kansas. Broadly stated, the purpose of this local chapter is to keep members connected to the Camino and to introduce new people to the phenomenon. We plan to accomplish this in a number of ways, such as social events, hikes, mentoring future pilgrims and serving as a local host for hospitalero training through American Pilgrims.

The chapter will be scheduling local hikes, talks, potlucks, a lending library of Camino related books, and more! These will be listed here but you may also want to check the Local Events page for other events that may be of interest. Contact chapter coordinators Kim Callow and Dana Ballentine at [email protected] for more information or to be added to the chapter e-mail list.

Holiday Celebration
Saturday, December 8, 2018, 5:30 - 7:30 PM

Join the Kansas City Chapter for an evening of Holiday celebration with wine, cheese and a guided wine tasting. We'll meet on December 8, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30 at Wines by Jennifer, 405 Main St., Parkville, MO 64152.

This will be an opportunity to share time together with good conversation. A tasting of Spanish wines, a cheese plate or items off the menu are for purchase, as is additional wine or beverage. A wine expert will be helping us learn about Spanish wines along the Camino.

This is not a potluck (we cannot bring food and must purchase off the menu), however, we can bring desserts....ONLY DESSERTS!

Also, we'll have a White Elephant gift exchange. Please plan to wrap and bring something "Camino"...that is, something having a connection to the Camino. This might be a map, a book, a poem, a shell...or some creative item...you get the idea. This can be something you already have.

NOTE: This event requires you to RSVP! Please contact Dana ASAP at [email protected]

Finally, if you will be imbibing, please team up with other attendees to have a wine-free designated driver!

It's gonna be a fun time! Hope to see you there!
